REA Card counts on EcoStep

In December this year REA Card began to re-organise its company processes according to the guidelines of the integrated management system EcoStep. EcoStep was especially developed for small and medium-sized businesses to optimise everyday operating processes in favour of better quality, environment compatibility and occupational health and safety.

The essential targets of EcoStep include the disclosure of ecological and economic weak spots, to improve adherence to environment laws and to enhance employee satisfaction. These targets are implemented by the minimisation of consumption of natural resources and the lowering of CO2 and dust emission, among others by the organisation of smooth internal processes and a progressive improvement process and not least by the improvement of labour conditions for all employees.

The decision in favour of EcoStep was obvious for the management of REA Card. After all the system supplies proven methods and tools to implement the guiding ideas of REA Card more effectively in practice such as quality, sustained action and a friendly working environment of employees. The introduction of EcoStep is thus a further important step towards the protection of the future and of the location of REA Card that is to be successfully concluded latest by end 2010 with the external certification.
