transact grants approval for the REA T3

transact is the first network provider in Europe to grant approval (as of August, 24, 2009) for the REA T3, the new EC terminal from REA Card.

"We are very impressed with the speed of the device" concluded Martin Brückner, IT Manager at transact, after completing testing. The software design of the REA T3 was also the subject of much praise from Brückner as its flexibility allows for a lot of room to manoeuvre when it comes to the addition of future applications.

The first step will involve planning the joint marketing of the REA T3 by both REA Card and transact in Germany, Poland and Austria. Deputy Managing Director of transact, Dr. Markus Landrock commented "With the REA T3, we are delighted to be able to offer our European customers an EMV-enabled terminal of the next generation".

For REA Card, transact is an important partner as the Euronet Corporation integration it offers helps towards achieving the European transaction goals which REA Card has set for itself.
