Foundation laid for the Future

By setting up the new production building, the REA Group enhanced the foundation of its success on the occasion of its 25-year anniversary. On the occasion of laying the foundation stone on 31 August 2007, numerous prominent visitors accentuated the importance of the economic and innovative power of REA for the region. Among these were also Klaus-Peter Güttler (State Secretary of the Hess Ministry of Economics, Transport and State development), Gernot Runtsch (Mayor of the Municipality Mühltal), Alfred Jakoubek (chief Administrative Officer of the District Darmstadt-Dieburg) and Andreas Storm (Parliamentary Secretary of the State of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, MP).

The laying of the foundation is the kick-off for a festive year, from which the customers will also benefit in the form of numerous special offers. As the logo »25 Years REA« makes it clear, the REA Group is represented on the market by an extensive portfolio with the production of industrial identification systems, terminals for noncash transactions and barcode verification devices. REA., as a reliable and innovative partner for industrial, retail trading and service companies, is securely anchored, both in medium sized business of the region and on the European and global markets.

The production building, designed by the architects offices Junghans+Formhals of Darmstadt, is emerging in the Mühltal district Waschenbach and will accommodate two new production lines operating on an area of 3,500 sq m as from spring 2008. 150 new jobs are being created there under particularly clean production conditions where innovative technologies of industrial identification will be implemented. As the financing power of the entire REA Group is increasing, it has decided to create even more space for the development of even greater growth. The resolute determination, transparency and clarity of the new building stand for this open growth and development strategy of REA.
